Hey Colorado folks: Colcannon, a totally awesome Irish band who's absolutely great live, will play at St. John's Episcopal Church on Saturday at 8pm in honor of St. Patrick's Day. I think St. John's is on 13th14th and Pine. I'll be there and having a great time.

Out of town folks: Colcannon's scheduled gigs include stops in Santa Cruz, CA, Rapid City, SD, Harrisonburg, VA, New York, NY, and Port Rowan, ON, among other places. They're a real treat to see live -- a band with a fantabulous sense of humor who can also be very serious and soulful while playing a 3-corpser in Gaelic and then upbeat for the next set of reels and jigs. mlechan will vouch for me. Sorry babe, but I don't think they'll make it to Japan this year ;-P

Heh. Cover charge for an event at a church.

I don't see it on the site, but it's usually $8-12 for their shows.

And now that I check I think they're actually on 14th and Pine.

Oh yeah. If you wanted to come up before the concert (or stay around after) we could talk about Ireland with my folks. (Be prepared for a long discussion. My family has a habit of keeping folks up way past their bedtimes.)

Hmmm.... Colcannon's website says they start at 7:30pm...

As to the invite to look at pics, we're game though it probably would be best to do it afterward, as Thor won't get home until 5 ish from work. Let's discuss - we can perhaps pick you up and drop you off or some combination thereof.
