Nurture Dance
Sunday, March 14th, 2010 11:15 pmAttendance is a bit unpredictable, and tonight the turnout was four experienced cuddlers. We did a practice from Nurture Dance: two people sit hip-to-hip, embracing, facing opposite directions. They can rock back and forth, one person can relax and let the other one hold them up. With a careful leg positioning, one person can pull the other's hip onto his leg and cradle that person, rocking gently. After a bit, roles can switch.
In addition to some good back stretching, this exercise produced some really good close touch. At cuddle parties, you often end up in someone's lap or giving a back rub, but an extended period of chest-to-chest contact leads to a very warm feeling.
