My initials in cuneiform and name in Heiroglyphics from University of Pennsylvania Museum via languagelog. (Anyone know how to get the syndication icon with the lj user tag?). And I wonder if the return filename of "cunT.gif" for cuneiform was noticed by the creator.

Question one:
Why should we assume that soulmatehood is a one-to-one relationship rather than many-to-many? I'd like to think love is less like gluing together a broken vase (each piece can only fit in one spot) and more like playing with legos (there's lots of pieces that could be your compliment). I mean, it seems improbable that of the 5,999,999,999 candidates, 5,999,999,998 aren't soul mate material.

Question two:
Why should we assume that good soul mates make good life mates, body mates, or even room mates? Let souls mate in the ether, meanwhile I'll go find a human mate.

Question three:
"Does increasing population indicate new souls?" is one of those childlike theological questions. Are new souls are created when two souls mate? Because that would indicate that a lot more people find their soul mates these days than 200 years ago.

I'm absolutely certain soulmates aren't 1 to 1. I can count 6 of mine right now; they aren't all sexual relationships but they are definitely close to me.

first, i love reading your journal entries! they remind that life is NOT the day to day drama i make it out to be...
next: about question two. i have met my soul mate... actually i met him in eighth grade and we've been on and off since then. we are thinking about moving in together next year and it made me realize... he is NOT roommate material at this point. so i completely agree that just because they are amazing soulmates it doesn't mean you can fit them into every other "-mate" combo!!

I LOVED the links for heiroglyphics and the sumerian stuff. Thanks a bunch for those. I have a character that is trying to learn summerians and heiroglyphics so it rocks.

Also on the subject of soul mates. There are different kinds. At least that I have found. Rowanheart is my soul mate. At one point in time I defined them differently as anyone that I felt an instant connection and raport with that was "unaturally close" without putting in the effort of "getting to know them". A one point I had 7 of them at once. Also Gideon, my old roomie and best friend is gay, but he is my soul mate also. I don't think you can neccessarily live with them either. Great subject. I could talk more about it, but I need to get ready for a LARP tonight. Take care.

I think my favorite Guinness ad was "Tall, Dark, and Have Some" although "A Guinness A Day," "Guinness for Strength" and "My Goodness! My Guinness!" were also awesome. Mmm. Guinness.
