[Coors Life Directions Center]Now that I've got a laptop, I can conveniently transfer photos to the Internet from work. In the last couple days I've posted everything since late December to my gallery. When I get a chance I'll put together a "best of" album, including some montages of moon shots and so forth.

I'm particularly fond of the photo to the right. Not only is the sign ironic on its own, but the Center is at Regis, which is a Christian school. From their alcohol policy: "Intoxication or alcohol abuse is not a permissible excuse for unlawful behavior or misconduct." And " Advertising which states or suggests that alcohol will be available at an event is prohibited." (Unlike BYU, though, they don't have a "No alcohol at all at all" policy, though.)

go rejected!!

I want to get copies of the "flwyd and emi being silly" pics you took. you promised me copies, and I never got them! Eeeeeevil!! ;)
Can you email them to me or somesuch? I tried poking through the gallery but it seems you maybe respected my request to keep those incriminating shots completely entre nous. Merci.

D'oh. I forgot those were in there. They're a smaller set, so I'll probably upload them this weekend. If they're not up by Monday, bug me again.

You are aware that Coors is extremely Christian?
Check out who's on the boars here: http://www.ifa-usapray.org/beliefs.html and his father was even more so - so this sign actually makes a lot of sense to me. Of course the irony is that they actually make something they personally deem as wicked....

This isn't so much an irony like the Mormon Church owning significant stock in tobacco, since alcohol is a traditional part of Christianity. It's more like Phillip Morris sponsoring a footrace. The Coors life direction is one most colleges try to steer students away from.

I didn't know Coors was into Christian activism, but it doesn't really surprise me. I suppose they hope to deliver both the opiate and depressant of the masses.
