Thanks to stephanova for her link to the National Beard Registry. It's run by Bliss is Now which seems to be a sort of Internet Ashram -- "This web site mimics our internal expanding Self, in that the various pages on the site must be discovered and experienced. BlissIsNow provides a balance on the web where impersonal conformity rules. There are no underlined links, navigation bars, logos or ads here. It’s not for those who want a fast food experience." Word to the wise -- the birds are the links. The other sections of the site are "Artists," "Writers," "Musicians," "Yoga," and "Raw Food." I usually prefer to keep raw food out of my beard, but there's something to be said for seconds on chili.

I need to take a good picture of myself so I can be one of the first 1000 in the registry.

I think memepool should be informed of this.

Before I clicked, I expected it to be a geographical registry of women willing to go out in public with a gay man for a price so he can pretend to be straight.
