Though the article is mostly a repeat of what Sen. Santorum said, the gist is this: while lots of people are making a fuss about homosexuality being associated with bestiality, a Utah sect leader is upset that polygamy is being compared with homosexuality.

There's beauty in that ugly mess.

The following conversation occurred between my very outspoken liberal Pennsylvanian roommate and myself the other night...

Kerry: Oh dear god. You are not going to BELIEVE what a Senator from MY OWN STATE said! I'm so embarassed...

Me: What? What?

Kerry: Apparently, in front of a Supreme Court hearing, he compared homosexuality to bigamy, polygamy, incest and adultery.

Me: What the fuck?

Kerry: Yeah, I know. I'm SO embarassed!

Me: No, but I mean...I just don't get it. Like, that comment just doesn't make any sense. I mean, I know people are always trying to compare being gay to all sorts of weird stuff, but...

Kerry: I know, it's ridiculous. He's saying that if you have gay sex, it's like doing any of those other things...

Me: Well, okay...But I mean, I agree with most of those other things, and it still doesn't make sense. Like, there's just no logical associatio-

Kerry: INCEST? You agree with INCEST?

Me: I said MOST!!
