Quick poll: who's more masculine, Ernest Hemmingway or Clint Eastwood?

"An emotional roller coaster." It's a nice metaphor, so let's think of some similar metaphors for different emotional states:

• "He's an emotional elevator. He's happy one day and then slowly visits more and more depressed floors. Then he comes back up."
• "This week's been an emotional escalator. I was sick on Monday, had a lot of stuff due on Tuesday, and now it's Friday and I feel great!"
• "I'm an emotional moving floor. People's flights land, they set their baggage on me, walk all over me, and I accept it and move on with my day."

Fags aren't masculine? They don't even need women for sexual gratification, unlike those het guys who feel a need for at least SOME connection to a source of femininity almost constantly, that would seem to indicate that they would be even more masculine than the breeders...

I think Mark's distinguishing fags, which are usually fairly effeminate, with mostly-masculine gays (I don't know what the reclaimed word is here... sort of the guy version of a bull dyke). It's sort of figure skaters/wrestlers (not that either is exclusively one or the other).

The claim isn't that fags don't practice a good way of being a man. Just a more feminine way than Clint Eastwood.
