Abstinence-only education is like telling people that the only 100% guaranteed method to avoid auto accidents is to refrain from driving and and withholding seatbelt education because "people might get the message that it's okay to drive."

Then rape is analogous to a hit and run of a pedestrian--in other words, even if you don't drive (or have sex) you still can be hurt--and need to know defensive driving (or defensive sex--condoms, etc.). You may not get the chance to use them in these violent situations, but it could help...
