In other annoying news...
Wednesday, December 12th, 2001 01:22 amA water main to Aden Hall broke today. In September or so, the one to Brackett Hall (where I live) had broken, so we were without water for about a day and there was a gaping hole and a backhoe in the middle of the quad for several. This time, they hooked a huge hose from the fire hydrant to Aden so that they could get on with their normal lives. Then at 6:15 pm I get a call from the office saying they've shut off cold water to Brackett-and-could-I-please-put-up-some-signs. And, to add to the joy, Cockerell, the other building with communal bathrooms that Brackett's keys allow access to, is also without water. I can use Aden's restrooms, since I have a Tesa card, but it's rather annoying for me and a pain in the ass for my residents.
The program I was going to spend all weekend, much of yesterday, most of today, tomorrow, and Thursday on? 200 lines of code. Less than 48 hours 'till its due. Whee!
And when did my body decide that it liked lying awake for an hour and a half before sleeping, and would do it several days in a row during crunch time? And why wasn't I party to the decision? Insomnia sucks, and circadian rhythms have been subverted by pop music.
