Imagine a game played from second person perspective. It could be a fighting game, where you're constrained to a ring -- no trying to find the other person through mazes.

You see your character from the perspective of your opponent's character. You get to control that punch all the way in. But wait! Your opponent turned his back! Now you can't tell what you're doing! But he can guide himself to mule-kick you!

I think this would add spice to the arcade.

This is amazing, Trev. Last night at dinner, I came up with the EXACT SAME IDEA. A second-person shooter. (We were talking about first- and third-person shooters, and I extrapolated for fun.)
But I did put them into different places- I used the minotaur in the labyrinth as the example. You're controlling Theseus at the gate, and Theseus has a map with his location on it that is visible on the screen, but the Minotaur is not on the map, and is wandering aimlessly through the labyrinth eating sacrifices and doing whatever minotaurs do, and the POV is his, not yours. It made me incredibly happy.

Not only the 2nd person shooter, but also the 1st person plural shooter. A game in which multiple networked players independently attempt to control a single target, which processes ALL input from EACH player.

Accomplished players of such a game would surely gain insight as to how to predict group mind at work.

An implementation of the old adage which I misquote here:
"The left hand doesn't know what the right is doing."
