If your program appears to produce different output from code which is essentially the same on input that is essentially the same, and attempts to change that behavior do nothing, you may be misinterpreting the output.

Case in point: if you start your program by listing array indexes and their values and then repeatedly output the size of the array before each future line of output, the length + 1 element is not empty, it's not there.

And why isn't "stupid" a predefined mood?

Your work sounds mysteriously like my work today. Or the super-project that I am writing little code haikus for. I used regexp in Matlab. Oh wait, I am doing things in Matlab. That is not programming. Nevermind.
