Birthday Ritual

So I led a ritual on my birthday this past year, which happened to coincide with New Moon and Rosh Hashanah. However, since I didn't write down the meditations before I led them, the document has sat on my hard drive waiting for me to graduate so I could justify spending time to remember them and put the fingers to the keys. So now that we're in a new year yet again, I give you the Rosh Hashanah/Birthday ritual. While I think most of it was fairly clever and inspired, of general interest is a summary of my first 24 years of life as quarter calls. It follows thus:

South

Baby Trevor, blond-haired boy,
Excited by everything,
Lover of the library,
Intricate imaginary identities,
Too creative for Crestview,
Reading rigorously.

West

Alternative education, Uni Hill,
Sensitive student, often sick or hurt,
Surrounded by sports statistics,
Aware, annoyed, advocating action,
Penmanship-challenged Procrastinator,
Mathematical master, methodological mediator.

North

Denying dairy helped health,
Local leader, learned language, unix user,
Exciting education experiment evolving,
Growing geekery: great games, perl programming,
Super student, college calculus, socratic seminars,
Philosophy, feelings, contemplating college, moved mornings.

East

Understanding university, finding features,
Increased involvement, finding friends,
Exciting election, fellow philosophers, are you RA?
Totally TITAN, encouraging engineers, holding hands with heathens,
Goodness gracious graduate school, unfinished undergraduate urges,
Work, wanderlust, wonder where next.

Geekery??? hmmmm, must ponder

Nice... I like it - very reflective.
Why'd you start in the south (just wondering)?

Would you do this again for subsequent birthdays? If so, what would you change/not change?

I started in the South because that's where my lines from birth through kindergarten or so are. And it makes sense to end in the East for college.

Of course, I'm one of those weirdos who also changes the direction/element associations based on location. In Colorado I sometimes think earth, water, and wind all ought to be in the west.

I loved the whole thing; I'd definitely do it again. Repeating the calls might be redundant and unbalanced (adding just one line), but I came up with a great way to do birthday cake and the apples-in-honey wishes-for-a-new-year is so cool I may do it for other new years.
