Things that popped into my mind while gaming yesterday, but which weren't relevant, so got written down instead:

Discussion of current events before the gaming session:

mythicsagefire: It's true. Wikipedia has a list of the 10 longest and shortest popes.
flwyd: That's more information than I wanted to know.

There is, of course, a separate list of the most sexually active popes. "See also: pornocracy." Now that's a useful word.


In January, I got a bunch of mp3s from my brother. I haven't listened to them all yet, so sometimes I find a gem I didn't even know I had. Today's victory: the Momus album The Little Red Songbook. They describe it as Analog Baroque. Humorous lyrics set to harpsichord and associated instruments. Most of the songs are worth a listen/read, but my favorite is MC Escher:
