You Can't Say Florida Without "Duh"
Monday, January 10th, 2005 12:29 amThe weather was fabulous. We visited and entered some wonderful wet places. We spent time with some great people and some raging alcoholics. The bugs weren't bad, the humidity wasn't terrible, and there wasn't too much food I couldn't eat.
We were quite relieved to feel cool, dry air in our lungs when the captain opened the cabin door. (He was a fabulous Aussie chap, by the way. He began our journey by saying "Welcome to Frontier flight... whatever it says on your ticket. On behalf of this Denver-based flight crew we'd like to welcome you aboard. If Denver isn't in your travel plans, it is now.") We rejoiced at gridded streets with mountains to anchor our internal compass. I was excited to find tofu yogurt and sorbet in our fridge. We were very glad to see our kitties. And I will be very glad when my head hits the pillow in about 120 seconds.
