Of Vice and Women

Virgins meet in Sin City, tout abstinence. Advocating abstinance until marriage is all well and good, but shouldn't they then advocate polygamy so that people can marry the hookers before they hook up? At the very least they should advocate gay marriage, or else have no argument to reach homosexuals.

Now that I think about it, having an affair is postmarital sex, so it gets the green light, but is just as dangerous as premarital sex. The message, therefore, is marry rich early and have fun! And if you get a divorce, the sex is even more accurately post-marital.

(A more accurate message for these groups would be "Practice life-long monogamy." Which is far from the same thing as "Wait until marriage.")

Finally, since the number of kids born into wedlock far outnumbers the bastards, we should advocate not having post-marital sex as a method of population reduction.

I just always figured the answer was to have all the sex you wanted, and just not get married - therefore technically rendering your sex not pre-marital.

Abstinence only sex uneducation really bothers me.

I think the number of one time monogamists is much smaller than the number of serial monogamists, cheaters, or polyamorous types. To say "wait until marriage, and it will all be okay" is really blind and stupid in a lot of respects. A lot of people with diseases have often times gotten it from a cheating spouse. The whole "condoms won't stop HPV" thing sounds more along the lines of "Why bother to use condoms when some diseases just can't be stopped?" It is a dumb idea. There is also the "oral sex is not really sex so i am still a virgin" school of thought here too.
