Confusion of Terms

NPR's Morning Edition this morning had the following entertaining error:

"Somalia has not had a government since 1991 when warlords overthrew the president. The warlords then turned to infighting, leaving the country in monarchy."

It makes perfect sense because warlordism is the same as monarchy.

In the boundary case of a single warlord.

Except I think warlords typically take better care of the folks they claim to protect.
